For us, this anniversary represents generations of hard work, trust, and the relationships built along the way. It’s about family, local businesses, farmers, contractors, and the people across southeastern Alberta who have trusted us with their projects since the beginning. 

Three Generations, One Family Legacy

What started in 1966 as a small operation built by Joe Duenk has grown into one of southeastern Alberta’s trusted steel service centres—and remains proudly family-owned today. 

Leadership passed to John Duenk in 1996, bringing years of expansion, investment, and growth, before a third generation joined when Justin Duenk came on full-time in 2017. Over six decades, Brooks Industrial Metals has evolved into a one-stop steel shop supporting contractors, farmers, fabricators, and businesses across southern Alberta. While the company has grown significantly, one thing has remained the same across every generation: a commitment to dependable service, practical solutions, and support for the community that helped build us.

While dealership requirements have changed significantly over time, our relationship has remained. That continued partnership reflects something we value deeply: trust built over decades. 

We’re proud to continue supplying Miller® welding equipment and consumables to the contractors, fabricators, farmers, and welders who rely on dependable tools every day.
